Back home to Knoxville

What is it about drinking your own coffee, out of your favorite mug, in your own chair that just sets you right for the day. After a long trip via Greensboro-New York-Las Vegas-Houston-Greensboro-Greenville and then home. It is sooooo good to get back and get back to work. I met a ton of great people in Las Vegas. Everyone was so eager to help and loved their craft. These are some pics from the trip.

While at WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) Knoxville wedding photographer David Payne (me) had the distinct honor of being asked to display some of my work by one of the International vendors. I think everyone has seen this image on my web page.

Before and Afters

My wife's good friend Cindy was over for a photo shoot the other day. She was kind enough to let me post some before and afters of her. I thought it might be nice to see what a retouched photo can do to an already attractive subject. What I try to do is make you look your best, not different. 

Rainy day at Cades Cove, Tn.

Cades Cove is a wildlife refuge located near Townsend, Tn. in the edge of the Smoky mountains. The day was rainy and the wildlife was feeding, deer, turkey and Floridians.

The trees are just starting to change color.

Wild turkeys...a little close to Thanksgiving!

If you look close you can see the horns on that buck looking at the on lookers.

Trip to Greensboro, NC to see my Brother Logan

This week I decided to go to Greensboro, NC to visit my brother, his wife Christie and two year old son Asher. Logan is a wedding photographer in Greensboro and I thought the trip would be a good chance to compare notes, catch up, and see Asher for the first time.

We had a lot of fun fighting the gas lines from the hurricane.

We enjoyed dinner together at Moe's. "WELCOME TO MOE'S!!!"

Then it was on to the Greensboro Fair.....

Asher was beat......we all were a little tired too... Good Fun.

The next day it was time to get the cameras ready, and head to the wedding.
